In the past, there have been exchanges between Chinese and Japanese designers, yet large-scale and concentrated dialogues have been rare. The special documentary segment “Dialogue Between Chinese and Japanese Designers” in the exhibition “Graphic Design in Japan,” brought designers from both countries together for the first time in an intensive, face-to-face conversation. Building on this occasion, Design360° has re-edited the content of the documentary and included it in this issue. Presented in the form of dialogues, this issue highlights the designers’ perspectives on creation, industry, technology, and society — shared within the context of today’s design landscape.
